the personal interview I would emphasize my ability to take tools and skills taught in lecture and apply them to my Public Relations Chair within the sorority. While my competitors may have internships on their hands I have literally implemented a successful strategy on improving an image of nearly 200 girls, and then sustained the target image. Recommendation and Implementation After analyzing each alternative, I decided that working in San Marcos, Texas, as a Marketing Associate for LMI would be the most logical alternative to pursue. When looking at the three different cities the most practical selection, as an entry-level applicant, would be to

17 work in a city you are familiar with; not having to move reduces the stress of beginning your career because you’re already accustomed to your surroundings. Furthermore when comparing the three salary options the Marketing Manager position has the most opportunity for growth like raises and promotion. Although San Marcos is not a metropolitan area it is surrounded by Austin and San Antonio, if need be I can take the experience gained at LMI and ultimately pursue a job in a larger city one I have developed a sense of comfort in my career. Implementation of the Marketing Associate position with LMI requires only a few simple transitions from college student to full time employee. Beginning around January 2014 I would apply for the job in an attempt to secure a career before graduation. Assuming I get hired, next would be graduating from Texas State in May 2014 and receiving my degree. Since the location of my new profession doesn’t require that I move cities or apartments my next step towards the implementation of my career is to actually begin working as a Marketing Associate. Issues concerning my budget during my metamorphosis into an employee wouldn’t change drastically since I don’t need to pay down payments, or save money to move away. Conclusion Through this marketing plan I have constructed a post-graduate strategy that outlines how to solve my problem of needing acquiring a job in the PR field, with the conditions that it’s located in Texas, and uses the creative marketing mediums I have explored while attending college. Highlighted in this paper are my personal strengths and weaknesses along with external opportunities and threats. The SWOT analysis combined with the problem statement permitted me to develop three alternatives to pursue in the Public Relations job market, which after much care and deliberation allowed me to narrow the three possible career paths down to one. In conclusion, the solution most fitting for my lifestyles and goals happened to be a Marketing Associate career located in San Marcos, Texas. This career is the most logical decision because I currently reside in the same location as the job, alleviating all the mental and financial
