I am the absolute best procrastinator, which makes me indecisive as to whether I have great or poor time management Professional Development Areas: Pediatrics – I am not kid friendly to the majority of kids Respiratory – phlegm and tracheostomies make me want to hurl I struggle to be interested/devoted to the study of the two mentioned areas OPPORTUNITIES THREATS Learning Experiences: limitless. Experiences are offered through work, school, life; the experience depends on if I’m capable of learning from it. Flexibility: moderately flexible between work and personal life, time dedicated to education does have to be planned in advance. Planned or Unplanned: most opportunities are planned, either school or work related is planned/enrolled/scheduled in advance. The few unplanned opportunities typically occur at work without notice. Resources and Networks: Again, I feel this is limitless. It all depends on how much effort I decide to put in to find/obtain the resources and help I need. Balancing Personal & Professional Life: My family and workplace family are very supportive of pursuing education and are understanding of the time that education requires. Fears: Failure, lack of time, feelings of incompetence Competition: Complacency in career or with education and deciding against pursuing career and education advancement. Limiting Factors: My management of time, I don’t always give myself enough or manage time well enough to allow myself to do more or do better ©2015 University of Texas at Arlington Page 5 of 11
