Bird’s Eye View.
Read about the simulation.
What is the population of light and dark moths at the beginning each simulation?
You are your partner should each take turns playing the simulation with the light colored background first and
then with the dark colored background (this will give you two trials for each type of background). Record how
many light and dark moths were after each simulation and find your averages.
How does the simulation model natural selection? After each simulation think about traits that will be passed on to
the next generation.
Examine the table and construct a properly formatted graph (Use lab Format) on a separate sheet of paper.
should have 2 lines on your graph - one for light moths, and one for dark moths.
# of moths captured
# of light moths
# of dark moths
Explain in your own words what the graph shows. What type of environment do you think these moths live in?
