Whether that choice is takingcontraceptives, information on adoption, or not carrying a fetus to term.For many low-income women Planned Parenthood is the only access to healthcare theyhave; the defunding of contraceptives and other services would result in a rising number ofunwanted births which would cost taxpayers more money. The goal of this institution is to be awell-rounded provider that’s there for the people who are ready or aren’t ready to support a childmentally and financially. Planned parenthood provides care for all genders but those who wouldbe affected are the women who would be stripped of the right to contraceptives and the otherservices provided. Consequently, there would be an increase in unwanted pregnancies andundetected health problems related to the reproductive system. The number of unwantedpregnancies would increase and if these women are unable to support their children federal aidwill be provided. The cost of raising these children is greater than that of funding PlannedParenthood which provides women with contraceptives. It’s more inexpensive to prevent than to
