Task Description:
Students will apply their learning outcomes from the first six weeks (Module 1) to create their own project in a simulated environment, comprising a
road and a bridge (i.e. linear infrastructure), in the second six weeks (Module 2). Using the Bentley software suite, this will include the opportunity to
design an adjacent building (i.e. vertical infrastructure).
From a pre-defined starting point and using the situational context and end-user needs, students will engineer the appropriate structure and
dimensions considering a variety of structural and environmental constraints and objectives. The project includes a key requirement of following a
pre-determined project timeline to deliver the infrastructure outputs, through the development of a software-based construction management plan.
