(1) Human values are being forgotten about and self worth is coming from selfies. 2. Selfies can have a positive effect on others. a) Melissa Dahl explained in “Selfie-esteem: Teens say selfies give a confidence boost” from a Today article from February of 2014, “65% of teenage girls said seeing their selfies on social media actually boosts their confidence.” (1) Allows us to present our best face to the word. b) Selfies allow us to be creative by expressing our unique personality and creative perspective (1) We can be silly and spontaneous, and take a variety of pictures with different poses.
III. Conclusion A. Thesis/Summary: In this speech I have explored the rise of selfies in out culture and their constant prevalence, I have explained the reason behind people constantly taking these odd pictures, and I have discovered the result these pictures have on individuals. B. Memorable Close: Now, lets see how selfies continue to evolve over the years and if we will look like these 80 year olds in the future.
