FORMAL LABORATORY REPORT CRITERIA FOR SUCCESS Criterion Student check Teacher check 1) Font is Times New Roman, 12pt, and is single-spaced. 2) Name, lab partners, due date and period are listed in the top right hand of the paper. 3) Title of the lab is centered, all capital letters, bold and underlined. 4) All headings are all capital letters and bold. 5) The Objective is 1-2 sentences explaining the purpose in your own words. 6) All materials, amounts and equipment being used are presented in a bulleted list. 7) The Procedure is a number list of steps taken during the experiment. 8) Data section includes an observation and data table sections 9) The observations are a bulleted list that helps explains what was found during the experiment 10) The data table is clear concise and properly formatted 11) The Analysis section includes the sample calculations and question sections 12) Each type of sample calculation was included. 13) The sample calculations are easily followed and include units. 14) Analysis questions are properly numbers and answered with complete sentences. 15) The Conclusion is written in paragraph form. 16) The Conclusion addresses all conclusion questions. 17) The Conclusion addresses the error and the explanation of the error of the experiment. 18) The Conclusion readdresses the Objective. 19) General care and concern is displayed with the drafting of the report and the responses. 20) Scientific thinking and logical deductions are displayed throughout the report.
