outline the environmental or sustainability legislation, regulations and codes of practice applicable to the organisation identify internal and external sources of information and explain how they can be used to plan and develop the organisation’s sustainability policy explain policy development processes and practices outline organisational systems and procedures that relate to sustainability outline typical barriers to implementing policies and procedures in an organisation and possible strategies to address them. Assessment conditions Assessment must be conducted in a safe environment where evidence gathered demonstrates consistent performance of typical activities experienced in the sustainability field of work and include access to: relevant legislation, regulations, standards and codes relevant workplace documentation and resources case studies and, where possible, real situations interaction with others. You are to refer to the assessment timetable to determine when each task is due. This is to ensure your trainer/assessor regularly reviews your work, and offers additional support if necessary. TA S K 1 – G R O U P P O L I C Y R E V I E W Instructions to students Assessment description You are required to examine and review the MacVille policy and procedure documents (in the additional resources of your Student Workbook) to determine the shortfalls between required sustainable practices and documented approaches to the same.
