Kant looks at society as a whole how they can develop their upmost enlightenment What is enlightenment Involving from immaturity, thinking for yourself He feels that humanity is naturally wicked and lazy but he believe that its human nature to be able to move away from this Immaturity is the inability to make use of ones intellect without the direction of another Its self incurred when its cause does not lie a lack of intellect but rather in a lack of resolve and courage to make use of ones intellect without the direction of another Why would it take courage Because everyone is following everyone its second nature its easier to follow along with the crowd (think of the pastor example).
