HOW POLICIES INFLUENCE AND AFFECT TEENSA policy is a “clear, simple statements of how your organization intends to conduct its services, actions or business. They provide a set of guiding principles to help with decision making” (Department of Human Services, 2014)Policies help give teens structure and directionPolicies usually influence good behavior but when these policies are missing there will be an increase in criminal behavior

HOW PRACTICES INFLUENCE AND AFFECT TEENSThere is a saying that practice makes perfect If a teen is constantly practicing a behavior it is very likely that that teen will perfect it and partake in actions that increase the behavior There are studies all around that conclude, children who play violent video games are more likely to partake in violent behaviors outside the gameIf a person is repeatedly seeing a behavior happen in front of them they will eventually do the same thing . This can be shown through the theory of observational learning “Children pay attention to some of these people (models) and encodetheir behavior. At a later time they may imitate (i.e., copy) the behavior they have observed”(McLeod, 2016)
