This study shows that during the adolescent phase of development each will facechallenges far beyond their experience. Low-income homes will have different expectations forwhat the male and female children should contribute and how much freedom they will experience.
5In a higher income home, the young adults will be able to experience more independence anddevelop their relationships outside of the family.ConclusionThe experiences and expectations have changes throughout time; though men have held ahigher expectation for them to help in the financial aspect of their families both male and femaleshave gone through many of the same things. Adolescents is only another phase people go throughbefore fully entering adulthood. What the studies have shown is that many factors will influencethis experience and the type of adult one develops into.
