My first genre, the brochure, was intended to inform individuals about the basics of marketing and what exactly marketing entails. I chose the brochure because I thought it was a good way to convey the details of marketing in an appealing manner. The audience for the brochure might include marketers and researchers, along with aspiring students and individuals who may be curious about the marketing process. Overall, the brochure is meant for anyone who does not know much about the topic or is interested in gaining a general description of marketing. Additionally, the brochure might be found in a school’s advising office or the business department at a university, or in the waiting room of a marketing company. The brochure might also be found at a marketing seminar or a seminar that is related to marketing. The significance of this genre is that it provides an accurate depiction of what marketing entails. It first defines marketing as a whole, then goes into more detail about each of the subsections within marketing. These subsections include the seven P’s of marketing, how to formulate a marketing strategy, and the significance of marketing. By clearly outlining the marketing process, an individual can pick up this brochure and easily understand the basics of marketing with one short read without having to gather all of this information together on their own. Website My second genre is the website I created. I wanted to create a genre that combined the two concepts I was working with, the Big Five personality traits and consumer behavior. My research paper discussed how certain personality traits can be related to certain types of consumer behavior. Although I was not able to accurately conduct my own research to prove this
