Currently, I want to pursue an advanced degree in nursing to enable me to specialize as a Family Nurse Practitioner. The more advanced the degree in nursing, the more flexibility of moving to teaching, leadership and management and more so, enables one to be special in a particular area. The specialization I chose is to be a Family Nurse Practitioner since it will allow me to work in all conditions ranging from young to old groups and working in a medical office setting. Pursuing an advanced degree will further my education and will make me more of an asset to the nursing profession.
