great comparison that has been made regarding the evolution of computer technologies is the fact that there is more sophisticated technology inside a TI-84 calculator than the computers that sent U.S. astronauts to the moon in the 60’s. Some of the most sophisticated present-day technology includes Watson, one of the most advanced forms of artificial intelligence. In 2011, Watson competed in the game show Jeopardy, in which the robot was named the first prize winner. Moore acknowledges that his law cannot continue for eternity, and at some point there will be factors that prevent further technological growth. In article it is stated that at some point “Moore’s law will cease” and no longer remain accurate. The general consensus is not “if” it will cease, but rather a question of “when”. Although there are several limitations on the speed of
growth, it does not render growth in some form impossible. With the rate at which technology is developing, it is entirely possible that computer systems will significantly mimic that of human intelligence. Work Cited: Li, Micheal Siyang.
