When Q1 was changed to 3_c, the null was located at (-1.87,0).  Q=3 q=1 R=0.5+0.5 r=0.5+1.87=2.37 r=R/1- (-q/Q)  r=1/1- (1/3)=2.37 7. A configuration was made using Q1,Q2, Q3 located at the points: (-1,0),(1,0), (0,1.732). The null points for this triangle were located at the following points: (- 2.85x10 -1 , 7.415x10 -1 ), (2.85x10 -1 , 7.418x10 -1 ), (1.14x10 -4 , 2.485x10 -1 ), (-1.14x10 -4 5.773x10 -1 ). One of the null points was located in the middle of the triangle. The  charge at (0,1.732) was then moved to (0,2.5). The null points found for that  triangle were: (-1.14x10 -4 , 8.688x10 -2 ) and (-5.0x10 -5 , 1.228). The same charge was

Below is a charge distribution of four charges where the electric potential is zero  at the same point where the electric field is zero.  9. Below is a charge distribution of four charges where the electric potential is not  zero at the point where the electric field nulls.  10. Below is a charge distribution using five charges where the electric field nulls.  11. Below is a charge distribution using six charges where the electric field nulls.

### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

Kiran Temple University Fox School of Business ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
