Using these standards, as well as the standards in place for the Health and Human Services Division of Ivy Tech Community College, students are encouraged to attend ALL classes. Leave voice mail.Dress Code for ClinicalIn the clinical setting the student must wear a properly fitting teal color uniform, pants must be at least ankle length and should clear the floor by at least one inch. For female students wearingdresses or skirts no hemline will be above the knees. Uniforms should be clean, well fitted, wrinkle free and in good repair. Ivy Tech Community College name tags are to be worn at all times while in clinical. Students not wearing a name tag will be sent home to get the nametag. Time away from the clinical site to obtain the nametag will be counted as absent hours. Footwear will be white leather or vinyl enclosed shoes with white socks or nylons. Shoes are to 7
be polished and in good repair. The only jewelry permitted is a wristwatch and wedding set. A watch with a second hand is nursing equipment considered to be part of the student's regulation uniform. One pair of small post earrings may be worn. Lab coats may not be worn over the uniform. White, navy, teal, or black sweaters may be worn with the uniform.Readmission PolicyIn the event that a student does not complete this course successfully, he/she may reapply for admission into a future class.
