While the organizational tool being used has some drawbacks it also provides insight for leaders that use the tool. The questionnaire is approximately 50 questions in length and encompasses many questions regarding employee satisfaction with their current roles, potential for employees to find new roles within the company or outside the company and recommending the company to others. E.To improve employee engagement, I plan to provide positive and negative feedback to my employees on their overall performance. I will provide that feedback in general terms as well as through specific examples so that the employee can grow professionally. Employees cannot make appropriate changes if they do not receive information about their performance. I will also offer mindful examples of how to improve within their role providing direct patient care. Job market evaluations will be performed and adequate increases in salaries will be offered to keep employees at competitive market wages. To attract and retain valuable and worthwhile staff, fair market salaries must be offered. 7

Leaders will need to set goals that are trackable so that engagement can be measured. Measuring the goals set by the organization will need to be reviewed and revised at regular intervals. Leaders will need to communicate effectively with their staff about the direction of the organization and organizational goals and lead their staff by example. Expectations will need to be communicatedwith staff, scorecards and other tools will help communicate the strategy with their employees more easily. Staff should have the resources they need to give feedback to leadership without fear of suffering negative consequences. What are the best practices for increasing employee engagement? Communication between leaders in the organize with staff is key for employee engagement. Leaders will need topromote a commitment with their staff to engage employees through communication. This commitment will come from highest levels of management all the way down to every employee. The commitment will encompass the here and now as well as the future. The direction of the organization will be clear and transparent to everyone in it. Another best practice managers and staff leaders should practice is frequently rounding on the staff that they manage. Engaged managers that care about the staff they manage will help to set an example to employees from the top of management chain all the way down to every employee that they manage. Frequent rounding also lets employees know that their manager cares about them and the job they are doing for the facility. Management rounding should not only include engaging with their employees concerning their workday but should include conversations that let the employee know management cares about them personally as well.8
