S-9 Written Assignments Each assignment requires you to write one or two essays that answer questions about the assigned reading. Your essays should include references to what you have read in the course materials as this information supports your responses. Your essays should also include references to life experiences that taught you or reinforced what you know about the issues raised in the assignments. In other words, your assignment answers should both show understanding of course materials and reveal your own perspective on the issues presented. Be sure your answers to the assignment questions are well developed and convey your understanding of the course materials. Please type all work. Each of the essays you write should be between one and two typed, double-spaced pages(or equivalent). When you have completed the assignment, proofread your answers for correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Send your assignments on or before the appropriate due date in the calendar and according to the instructions in the Student Handbook. Written Assignment 1 Chapter 11
