6. A number of OWLs provide strategies for overcoming writing anxiety and writer’s block. Look at the strategies provided by the OWLs at Purdue University , the University of Richmond , and UNC-Chapel Hill . What’s the best advice you found there? I think the best advice that I found was on the UNC-Chapel Hill page. I found that identifying your strengths is a great way to help writer’s block and anxiety. That advice will probably help me since I am my worse critic. The article makes me realize that I can do this instead of I can’t. 7. Why do you believe that reading and writing assignments should be required in all of your courses, even in math? Write in the affirmative, and be sincere: how will reading and writing in all academic disciplines benefit you in college, in your career, in your life? I really believe that reading and writing assignments should be required in all courses because you can really understand it better even if it is step by step instructions. This will help in college, my career and in life because I would be able to better articulate to my audience what I am trying to say. Communication these days is really non existence if you think about it. We answer questions with one word answers like LOL. That is not proper adequate communication. If we were doing more writing assignments in our classes at secondary level, college writing would not be hard and there would be less writer’s block and less anxiety.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
