Satisfaction • “Incredibly happy with the level of sophisticated work and client contact entrusted to first year associates from the very beginning of our careers. The firm does a great job of training and integrating new associates into the big picture.” • “I work with highly intelligent lawyers who are excellent mentors and make my working environment very pleasant. Our work is complex and we have a diverse group of clients. My work can be slow at times, but has been relatively steady since I’ve started at the firm.” • “Reasonable hours, market pay, and generally supportive colleagues are the pros. The major con is that work is limited and few associates actually hit billable targets in the office.” • “I have been given a lot of responsibility early on and am given a very manageable workload. I tend to work directly with partners.” Firm Culture • “The firm has a fantastic, collaborative culture. Work is pushed down to young associates who have speaking opportunities (hearings, depositions, etc.) early in their career. Lawyers enjoy working with each other and are friends outside of work.” • “Lawyers socialize together often outside of the firm. I go to lunch with my colleagues at least twice a week, more often three times, and occasionally attend happy hours. There are firm sponsored happy hours and events encouraging us to socialize both among ourselves and with clients. The culture is generally relaxed: we wear jeans on Fridays, keep our doors open, and often make rounds on the floor just to check in to see how everyone is doing.” • “The firm culture is warm and welcoming (with, of course, the expectation that you meet your billables). I am always pleasantly surprised that partners seem to take an interest in my personal life.” • “Our office is very social. Attorneys typically get together for a happy hour every Friday, and our office organizes a host of social events every year, ranging from monthly birthday celebrations, to a yearly chili cook-off, to a Halloween party culminating in a costume contest that draws entrants from all ranks of the office.” Associate/Partner Relations • “Partner relationships with associates are extremely col- legial, and partners act very interested in associate career development by focusing on associate’s substantive work opportunities and opportunities to participate in client development opportunities. Associates get opportunities early to interact with clients.” • “Partners treat associates with a lot of respect. It is very much a team feel. I do not always know what is going on as far as the management committee so I would say the transparency isn’t 100%.” • “I have found partners to be approachable and good-natured.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
