against this backdrop that we strongly feel disenfranchised by the School and the Department as far as their selection of the elective units for Industrial Chemistry in third year is concerned. It’s important to note that our course is a technical one. We strongly feel that the School and the Department should not have done away with the following elective units in third year; SCI 305: FORMULATION CHEMISTRY AND TECHNOLY and SCI 306: AGRO-BASED INDUSTRIES AND INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES . There is a common consensus that the two units are extremely relevant in our current and future economy since the nation is an agro-based economy, where almost all industries are involved in agro-based processing. In addition SCA 305: Statistics for Chemist is a duplicate of SCA 201: Quantitative Analysis and that there is no

much difference between SCH 305: Theory of Spectroscopy and SCA 301: Instrumental Methods of analysis 1 as far as the Industrial Chemistry course is concerned. This should be reviewed where necessary
