make decisions for their problem of long process of documentation and how to divide the workload fairly among day and night shift crew. This model will help in developing alternatives and assess them in order to implement the best solution for the problem. Like for instance, management should try to implement “ERP” i.e. enterprise resource system that allows organizations to use a network with integrated application for managing data. Thus, in order to make the documentation process easy they should digitalize their documentation just by using ERP system which will save their time and provide convenience to both departments by lessening the workload on nightshift workers (Ociepa-Kubicka, 2017). Furthermore, in order to solve the problem of night shift workers, management should decide on hiring more number of workers that can help in minimizing the work load mainly in logistic department. ii. Motivation Motivation is the degree of willingness that the individuals possess to perform their tasks in the workplace. Motivation is the significant factor in assessing the productivity of the workers that directly impacts the performance of any organization (Lăzăroiu, 2015). In the case, another major problem was arising when the workers were feeling de-motivated to perform their tasks because of workload and charging overtime. Specifically, night shift workers were feeling the

Thus, in order to solve the issue management should use strategies that will help them in motivating the workers. “Expectancy theory” by Vroom can be considered when making strategies. The theory proposes that workers are more likely to feel about their input and related them with the performance and outcome (Chen, Ellis & Suresh, 2016). In this case workers were giving their maximum efforts but in result they are having negative outcomes. They are de-motivated and unable to maintain work life balance due to long working hours. Management should work on monetary rewards by revising their salary plan and increasing the wage rate per hour. Also, they should motivate workers by implementing recognition award in terms of increase bonus and increment. Moreover, implement the rule of a worker’s maximum working hours should not be exceeded in any case as they must have enough employees to cope up with their workload. These monetary rewards will help managers to motivate their employees in order to enhance their performance. iii. Job satisfaction Job satisfaction refers to the feeling of pleasure or satisfaction the worker has, in performing their duties/jobs. Job satisfaction directly affects the performance of the worker, as if they are not satisfied with their job, they are less likely to be committed and motivated towards their job (Osland, Devine & Turner, 2015). In the scenario, night shift workers were not satisfied with their job because they were feeling that they are treated unfairly as the workload is more in night hours than in day shifts.
