only a larger scale exemplification of underlying white supremacist ideals still existing in America which is only further rooted in the implantation of the Confederate monuments around the country. This is an important issue that everyone has to pay close attention to as it depicts what happens when whites in these hate groups feel that their racial security is being challenged. They have lived advantageous lives because of their race which has allowed them much more benefits than most. For example whites generally look to the police as a source of safety, also, they are favored when in the face of school authorities as well as for jobs. These are all matters of white privilege shown to this day in America; it is not that whites do not face struggles, but they tend to receive help unknowingly without asking for it. Thus who live in privilege and on top of the social hierarchy in America thus feel concerned about their place has a majority in the country whenever they are being challenged. As result, the Unite the Right Rally was “designed to intimidate, incite and espouse anti-black, anti-Jewish, anti- Muslim, anti-LGBTQ, and anti- immigrant sentiments.” to remind the minority of their authority (Mashable). If we continue to ignore the issue these hate groups will try to regain their authority in society especially over blacks and it’s only a matter of time they try to overpower other races and groups too. One such hate group known as the American Promises Ministries justifies their hatred for other racial groups based on the ideology of the Christian religion. One of the Ministry’s leaders Dave Barley stated in one of his sermon’s that "America's greatness … didn't come from the blacks. It didn't

Here he suggests other races not just blacks are insignificant and have made no contributions to America. Similar beliefs were mirrored by the white nationalist who “[rammed] a car into a crowd of people on Charlottesville’s pedestrian mall, killing one counter protester, thirty two- year-old Heather Heyer, and injuring nineteen others” (Struyker 10). The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
