This serves as a guideline and basis for formulating policies on instructional andresearch Educational Development Plan, particularly pertaining to Criminal Justice
RESPONSIVENESS OF CRIMINOLOGY EDUCATION14Education (CJE). This is actually based on the pertinent provisions of Republic Act No.7722 otherwise known as the “Higher Education Act of 1994”. Moreover, the CHEDMemorandum Order updates higher educational management, collect up-to-dateinformation for innovative educational system, electronic tools, and guidelines for publicand private universities and schools. In line to this, it serves as an empowering body todevelop more rational innovative programs to achieve Criminology curriculum forglobalization and develop a more contemporary educational system. It is therefore the mission of the Criminology program under this CMO to providethe community with competent and upright graduates for crime prevention, detection,investigation, law enforcement, among offenders. All of these could be possibly seen inactual by completing the course requirements which requires a total of 165 units andcomprised of the General Education Components. Basically, a one-semester, containing540 hours Practicum Community Immersion (PCI) with 6 credit required where in thestudents are assigned to different areas of the community to apply the knowledge theylearned and acquired .(.Retrieved.2019-7-21)Criminology curriculum requires four (4) years to complete, but some universitiesoffer trimesteral educational system which only takes a shorter period of time. It includesOn-the-Job Training (OJT) or internship which enables graduating students to acquireknowledge pertaining to their preferred jobs as they finish the course. In line to this, the
