UNIT SKILLSASSESSMENTStudents are required to respond to a case study and scenarios based on The Naja Group ofColleges’ Norwest Campus Cafeteria given in the Appendices. The Naja Group of CollegesThe growth and success of The Naja Group of Colleges has largely come about as a result of theGroup’s vision and mission to provide an exception experience that the students will rememberand carry with them for the rest of their lives. Both the Campus Cafeteria as well as the Travel and Tourism divisions of The Naja Group ofColleges have enjoyed unexpected success over the years. Both divisions immerged from a simple idea that grew from the organisations drive to provide itsstudents an exceptional experience.Venturing into the hospitality industry was a big risk for an organisation serving the Educationsector. However, the business model proved to be a success. The Board of Directors of The Naja Group of Colleges realises that this success is very fragile fortwo main reasons:They service a very small portion of the market - The NGC Travel and Tourism division ofThe Naja Group of Colleges services its students only. This is very risky as the target market isvery small. Similarly, the campus cafeterias’ vast majority of clients are also their students.
