And notice here that I can specify which images I want to use for my desktop background. I can either add or remove a check mark from each of these image files. And if I select multiple backgrounds up here, then I can come down here, and specify how often I want them rotated. By default, it's set to 30 minutes. I can also mark Shuffle to kind of shuffle up the order in which their displayed. If I only want one background displayed, then I would deselect all the others that I don't want. And then I can specify the picture position. Do I want it to fill, fit, stretch, tile, or be centered on the desktop. In addition, on Windows 8, I can come in here and customize the color. This changes the colors of your Window taskbars and borders. Right now, it's set to automatic, but if I wanted to I could come down and pick a different color that I want to use. For now I'm just going to use the theme color. I can also configure my sounds that I want to use. Notice over here that the theme uses the Windows default sounds scheme. Don't have to. If I wanted to, I could change it to a different sound scheme. And I can also specify a screensaver. Now notice, with this theme there is no screensaver set by default. Screensaver 3:32-5:08 So I can come over here and set which screensaver I want to use, which is really a good idea to prevent burn-in on your monitor. Once I select a screensaver, then I can specify how long I want to wait before the screensaver comes on, such as 10 minutes. And right here's a really useful security option, on resume display logon screen. So if I were to get up and go to the break room, my screensaver comes on. I come back from the break room, and I try to use my computer again. Before it's going to let me do that, I'm going to have to log back in as my user account. This prevents someone from accessing data on an unattended computer. I click OK. Now notice that because I changed the theme, I had selected Lines and colors, but I added a screensaver that wasn't in the theme. Because of that, I have now created a custom theme. And currently the theme settings have not been saved, so it's labeled Unsaved Theme. Let's go ahead and save it. Let's give it a name. We'll call it Custom Lines and Colors, because it's based off of lines and colors, but we've customized it with a screensaver. I hit Save, and the name of the theme is changed. Now I can jump back and forth between some other themes, such as the Windows default theme here, and the theme settings that I configured just a minute ago. Now you'll notice on Windows 10 that I don't have the option to change the theme settings here in Control Panel. I can't set the background. I can't change the colors, set the sounds, or configure the screensaver. On Windows 10, these settings are handled in the settings app. We'll click on the Windows icon. Click on Settings, and we go over to personalization. Let's make this a little bigger so we can see what we're doing.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
