In this assignment, you will learn what NIBRS is and what you can do with NIBRS data. Interpretation of the Figure 1 (example) 1. Visit the FBI’s NIBRS website (click here) and see more information about NIBRS. 2. Watch a short video clip about transitioning to NIBRS from UCR. • You can find the video clip in the NIBRS’s website or you can click here. 3. Look at t h e charts on the next page. These charts are based on the examination of over 600,000 one-on-one assault incidents recorded in N I BRS ( 2 014 data). Figure 1 shows the distribution of assault victims and offenders by age. It is a scatterplot of age of offenders and victims, and the color shows the number of assaults. Interpretation of the figure 1(example) A diagonal line (Line A) indicates that offenders tend to assault victims of the same age as themselves. Conversely, people tend to be assaulted by offenders who are about the same age as themselves. The color of the dots shows the concentration of assaults among people in their 20s. It appears that most assault offenders are aged around 20, and so are their victims.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
