Aids research. This organization works to help fill the knowledge about HIV/AIDS that may be missing or the parts that most people don’t know about the disease. It also raised money to help support early research that shows fight against AIDS. These organizations along with their goals and tasks filled the need of reducing AIDS/HIV during the second Bush administration. Describe why nonprofits were able to fill the need when other entities were not able too. Nonprofits were able to fill the need when other entities couldn’t because of the importance of nonprofit organizations and government collaboration. When the two collab together, the results are successful. According to the article, “ Collaboration, Contracting, and Contradictions: How Nonprofit Leaders Can Begin to Think About Collaborating With the Government” by Miltenberger from Journal of Leadership Studies (2013), The division in the government- nonprofit relationship cause issues for the nonprofit organizations, government agencies, the clients they serve, and the public at large. The division seems to come from a lack of communication, lack of cooperation and failure to communicate about important things such as policies, programs and requirements. However, when the two are working together things can be achieved in a respectful manner.
