He was appointed as the Chairman of both the Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee whilst being a member of the Nominating Committee until year 2004. On 3 January 2005, he resigned from being an Independent Non-Executive Director, Chairman of Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee as well as member of the Nominating Committee and became an Alternate Director to Woon Chin Chan. He was invited back to the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director as well as member of Audit Committee, Nominating Committee and Remuneration Committee on 13 November 2013.
