responsible for turning in any assignments that might be due. It is also your responsibility to obtain class notes/handouts and anything else you might have missed due to your absence. Research Participation Requirement Students are required to participate in FIVE research experiments during the course of the semester. This will consist of 5% of your grade, with each experiment being one percentage point. Different opportunities will arise throughout the semester in which students may be eligible to participate in an experiment. Documentation of your participation must be provided. Students may complete an alternative assignment if you prefer not to participate in the research experiments offered. A one-page paper summarizing and critiquing a peer reviewed empirical article related to a class topic will count as one percentage point (equaling one experiment out of the five total required). Academic Integrity The use of any unauthorized assistance in taking examinations or completing homework is a violation of the University Code of Academic Honesty, as described in the student handbook. Individuals caught violating the code will be subject to sanctions, which may include reduction of grade, expulsion from the course or suspension or expulsion from the University. You can view the full Code of Academic Honesty here: information_and_regulations/code_of_academic_honesty.shtml.
