will transmit the same feeling to our clients. As well, the teams were composed by young employees, who work fast pace and it was common to socialize. 2.How is this different from your role as part of the Forever Young virtual team? In the forever young team, the employees have more interaction with other organizational cultures and have a global range of work. I would be in one of the teams conformed of almost 6 members creating a global strategy and looking for local markets to follow. the material developed would have to be with well-defined communication and directly to a specific brand. The teams are conformed by senior management who work together and make global decisions from expertise learned from around the world. The team would have a team leader, account director, account executive, creative director, art director and copy writer (sometimes one person would be on charge of 2 or three of those tasks). 3.What are some of the difficulties that the Forever Young Global advertising and communications team faced throughout the launch process? To what do you attribute these difficulties? The relationship with other work teams was on risk. The difficulties appear when competition with other advertising agencies arise. Also, because the meetings were face to face. It was difficult to bring all the senior members together to participate in the meetings and that after all work produced was necessary to have an approval by one of the teams (London team). As well,
4.As Janet Carmichael, do you now decentralize the team? Why or Why not? As Janet Carmichael I would decentralize the team and would work more on the performance that the Canadian and Taiwanese teams delivered. Besides, this teams were known to has poor performance they were used to work adapting the ideas depending on the market they were focusing on. It would be better to have it decentralized because with the global team, they wouldn’t have to wait to someone’s approval every time. Instead, the teams would produce and create an idea for a brand and then the other teams would adapt for the local market. This would help in time and money because they would use less resources and wouldn’t have to wait on a specific person. However, gradually there should be reports of how the campaigns and promotion worked to see if the teams are meeting the organizational goals and also fulfilling clients’ requests.
