What foods interested you or did not interest you? What foods have you tried? What are some typical foods in your area? How do they compare? Selected Answer: Some of the food presented in this unit were e.g. mole negro, enchilada and taco. I've learnt that people prepare their foods fresh every day. It was interesting that Mexicans eat tortillas with each meal. It was also interesting that they use the tortillas as a kind of utensil. I've tried some of the Mexican dishes and I liked them. It is easy to come by some Mexican restaurants in New York. I think that it is difficult to compare a typical food from a given
country with the one that you can buy in other country. The ingredients are usually a bit different and this makes the dish taste differently. I hope I get to try enchilada and mole negro in Mexico.Correct Answer: I learned that in many Spanish-speaking countries people use a variety of local foods in their cooking. For example, in a tropical area fruits might be included. I would like to try a batido because it sounds different from a usualmilkshake. I have tried enchiladas and I love them, especially enchiladas verdes. I have also tried mole but didn’t like it very much. In my area a typical food is barbeque. This is similar to what I learned because pork is a big product in my state, just like South American people eat what is produced in their areas. It is also similar to Spain, where they eat lots of pork. Response Feedback: [None Given]
