material in the readings or presented in class may appear on an exam. All exams will cover material from the respective exam periods. For all exams, the approximate number of items and expected time to complete the exam is the same. Each exam is the property of the professor and should not be removed from the building. With the exception of required attendance at university events, no make-up exams will be given for any reason. If a student misses more than one exam (for an approved reason and in advance of the scheduled exam), then a make-up exam will be scheduled. T EAM W RITING A SSIGNMENT This course has been designated a writing course at Tulane. To meet this requirement, students will be responsible for writing two papers which are graded for both content and writing style. I will grade the content part and a writing expert will grade the paper for writing style (i.e., grammar, style, and appearance). Each paper will be worth 12% of your course grade. Each paper will be a team project. Each team will turn in one paper representing the collective efforts of members. Cases, along with more specific instructions for each paper, will be posted on the course website. Everyone on the team must participate in writing each paper. You may not split the assignments among team members. 2

As part of the writing requirement, you are required to MEET AS A TEAM with the writing instructor for feedback on a draft of your paper. This meeting is part of your writing requirement. Failure to meet with the writing instructor will result in 5 points off your grade for the writing portion of the paper. Two hard copies of your paper should be handed in to me on the respective due date. One grade will be assigned to all team members. Grading and Timeline Paper 1 (Case 1 - TBA) Writing Points Content Points Paper Due 6 (50% of grade) 6 (50% of grade) 2-28 Paper 2 (Case 2 – TBA) Writing Points Content Points Paper Due 6 (50% of grade) 6 (50% of grade) 4-11 Teams are encouraged to complete their drafts and meet with the writing instructor well in advance of the paper due date. Social Loafing : Often when we work in teams, not all team members contribute their share. If your team is having trouble with someone not attending meetings or doing his or her fair share, then tell me about it before the paper is due. I will try to mediate. If the problem persists, then you may “vote the offending person off the island.” In this case, the person will not receive credit for the team project. He or she will be asked to complete an individual project for this aspect of the course grade. If the latter case arises, the student will be required to meet with a writing instructor for one or both papers and will receive reduced credit for one or both papers. EXTRA CREDIT OPTIONS One option for extra credit is to participate in an hour long study in the Freeman School’s laboratory research program. Through participating in research you will learn how researchers acquire new knowledge that they then convert into principles that you read about in your texts. The experiments that you will choose from will be in the domain of organizational behavior. You can earn 2 extra points (2% of

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
