For Tools of Mind I would have her draw a picture and write a sentence to go along with that picture. Or if she isn’t able to write a sentence without much help I would write the sentence for her based on what she tells me. The other activity that would be great would be a hands-on field trip. This trip could be at a zoo where the children are feeding the animals or helping out in some sort of way. Understanding Change I chose this one because I felt that this would be more engaging not only to the children but to myself as well. I love science and science projects. I think a great lesson would be to watch a flower grow. This would answer the question,” How do plants grow?” The materials that I would use would be a flower seed, soil, a plastic cup, water, and a chart (to use to keep record of the growth). We would plant the flower and water it daily and make sure it got plenty of sunlight to help it grow. We would talk about what is needed for flowers to grow and talk about each growth stage. The way I would know they understood I would have them recap what happened during each growth period. The second lesson would be about human life. In this lesson I would bring in pictures of a baby, a toddler, a child, teenager, adult, and a senior citizen. We would go through the pictures and talk about the difference of each stage and the similarities as well. The way I
