BENCHMARK Mitchell 5 Multiple Means of Expression Formative assessments will be done throughout this lesson by checking for students understanding. First when asked if they are familiar when what Farms are it begins the conversation. Students will be asked to talk about what the importance of farmers are. The chances to present prior knowledge will be given to respond to questions to demonstrate mastery of knowing how to ask and respond to questions. A summative assessment will be given in a sort activity and multiple-choice questionnaire. English language learners (ELL): I will allow students extra time to work on assessments, and re read directions. Students with special needs: I will always allow extra time and work with this group of students individually. Students with gifted abilities: I will always allow students to read a decodable. Early finishers (those students who finish early and may need additional resources/support): I will allow students to create drawings and or picture to display their knowledge. Time Needed 5-10 min Extension Activity and/or Homework Students will be given homework nightly. Students above reading level will have a book in their homework to read and get signed nightly.
