7 Social workers promote clients' socially responsible self-determination. Social workers seek to enhance clients' capacity and opportunity to change and to address their own needs.s,NASW, 2017). Adolescents are young adults and capable of making their own decisions into shaping their situation which. Social workers assist clients with resources and other services needed. Social workers seek to strengthen relationships among people in a purposeful effort to promote, restore, maintain, and enhance the well-being of individuals’ families, social groups, organizations, and communities(NASW,2017). Adolescents seek support and acknowledgment of their achievements, and as a society, it’s essential to motivate the client to work towards goals they never imagined achieving. Apply a trauma-informed lens when working with this population. Applying interventions based on the trauma-informed lens would help the social worker understand the client’s perspectives. Trauma lens can provide a sense of support among this population by providing resources to improve life’s betterment. Adolescents are developing into young adults its essential to provide service and information need to prevent these traumatizing events from recurring.
