this informs us about his need. Upon reacting with the environment, individuals develop ego (Townland, 2009). Usually, it is part of our personality, and that balances the id and superego. Superego is drawn from the moral principle of knowing what is right or wrong. One a person can view the moral obligation of behavior in a given environment, they develop the ability to tell whether the response is right or wrong depending on the morals (Personality Theories, Psychodynamic, n. d). Another proponent of psychodynamic theories, Alfred Adler, states that people are born with sense on inferiority, something that is usually seen in newborn. When born, the babies seem helpless and weak, but with times, this inferiority enables people to become stronger and superior as they grow. Although there are other perspectives of psychodynamic theories, I feel that the two are enough to solve Kyle's problems. Kyle is a grown person in a work environment. However, her past experiences are letting her down. She feels inferior to openly state her stand on calls to provide sexual favor for her

CASE ANALYSIS 7 work mate Tony. From the facts outlined by psychodynamic theories, I think that Kyle should be counseled on the need to develop a strong personality. Personality dictates how people would address you in any given environment, including a place of work. Personality is a significant component of the ego. It will enable Kyle to balance the ability to satisfy basic needs and knowing what is morally right (Payne, 2005). Life is a learning experience, and believe that Kyle's experience makes him feel in terms of personality and ego. Therefore, counseling on personality will help Kyle regain her energy to deal with various problems that she faces at work. It seems that Kyle already knows that Tony's request for sexual favors is wrong, but Kyle feels reluctant to say no because she has a low personality. Personality and self-esteem work together. Therefore, there is a need to counsel Kyle on self-esteem. This will facilitate Kyle with the mental ability to morally refuse Tony’s sexual requests by saying no. Developing stronger personality will also help Kyle to be able to overcome her problems in the future. There is a need to counsel Kyle on the importance of self-regulation. The difficulties that Kyle is undergoing are related to her environment; hence, I feel that she should seek counseling on self-regulation. Self- regulation will enable her to know what is wrong or right and say no to the sexual request and concentrate on her work. Feminist theories consist of different ideas. They revolve around that belief that society is patriarchal and that the community is structured in such a way that it favors men over women (Quinney, 2006). The theories further stress that the traditional way of thinking subordinates women and neglecting various concerns and issues that affect women in the society. Although there has been a struggle towards equality of all genders in the community, the subordination that women are subjected to undermines the calls for justice in the society.
