being girls. Now Kunju Macbeth is a totally different playing field when it comes to Macbeth. The scenery is very similar to Ian Mckellen’s Macbeth, the background is completely black. This works to their advantage for the witch scene though because of how they have them appear out of nowhere. Another difference among the three Macbeths is the costumes. Costumes, of course, are the clothing that the actors. Each production used different costumes based on the time period or where they are. In Shakespeare Retold- Macbeth, the costumes were the most modern out of all three productions. When Macbeth was working he was in his chef uniform, and when he went out about on the town or just around his room he was wearing more casual clothing. The customers he was serving though were wearing very professional clothing, and that was because they were eating in a three star restaurant. The witches were dressed like garbage men. A stain all over their clothing, hats, and pretty much anything else that is a part of garbage mans uniform that I missed. In Ian Mckellen’s Macbeth, costumes were mainly very dark. They may be switched their costumes a few times but everyone was wearing dark, depressing clothing. The directors used the costumes to go along with the play; it the director had the actors wearing bright colors in front of Renaud 3 A black background it wouldn’t give the play the same effect. Even the girls had dark clothing on. During the witch scene, like I said earlier, the witches were dressed like poor people; beat up and torn clothes, and dirty while Macbeth is more dressed like a knight.
