Since a larger company may have the resources to invest in a recognized training program to
prepare for higher business standards such as succession planning, development of training
program to maintain the highest quality, and employee management.
Training plans allow organizations to identify what is needed for employee performance
before training begins. The way organizations structure and organize their training affects the
way employees experience the training, which influences the effectiveness of the training. An
effective training program requires the use of a systematic training process (Ivancevich &
Konopaske, 2013). An effective HRD plan would provide employees with opportunities and
clear direction to increase their skills and advance their career in M&M.
Developing a new HRD Plan
The new HR department of M&M will manage the employees as business resources and
assets. The HR department will recruit, hire, manage benefits as well as train and develop
employees (Gomez-Mejia, Galkin & Cardy, 2001). The HR department of M&M will engage
and work together with other agencies to accomplish the company goals by training and
developing employee skills and increasing their commitment to the organization. M&M’s HR

department will not just hire the talent, but it will also train the employees to develop and
maintain a long-term commitment to the organization.
A new HRD strategy will be carried out to align M&M with the corporate plan. The
corporate plan is a guide towards M&M business achievements. The organization must start by
developing its mission and vision statements as a new strategic method and once generated; it
will rest with the company leadership to establish the culture that relates to this statement, thus
establishing the company's value (Griffin & Moorhead, 2006). A strategy should incorporate
hiring more employees, including new graduates, Hispanic and Kurdish community population,
enabling M&M to meet its growing demand for product and sales. M&M should establish a
culture within the sector not based on race, gender, or nationality but the performance of the
individuals.
Research shows that an organization's revenues and overall profitability are positively
correlated with the amount of training it gives its employees (Belcourt et al., 2016). The new
HRD plan would emphasize the new employee training programs, including orientation, job-
specific training, and training for current employees which includes skill development and
leadership training for management groups, training materials and the evaluation of the training
programs.
Employee Orientation Training
Ivancevich and Konopaske (2013) state "Orientation is a type of training offered to new
employees to help them adapt to their new jobs and employers." "Orientation is a planned
introduction of new employees to their jobs, co-workers, and the organization" (Ivancevich &
Konopaske, 2013). All new employees of M&M would require attending a one-day orientation
training after their hire. HR personnel will instruct an in-class orientation session. Each
