i . Why do we have this? What does it tell us about our society? It is important to have an age in order to recognize when somebody officially makes the transition from adolescence into adulthood. This age determines really important things like when you can vote and when you can drink. This is the time where our brains are fully developed and we can make decisions for ourselves. This tells us that society believes when you reach 18, you are capable of making decisions for yourself. They trust you at this age to make the correct like decisions. This is when you get treated like an adult and are expected to act like one as well b) Credentialism i. Explain the importance of this term for family life in Canada. us about society? Degrees and “credentials” are valued more now instead of experience. Education inflation is a ridiculous concept, but it is now the norm of society. No one values love of education or experience, everyone just wants the piece of paper in order to be the most “qualified”. Both superficial.
