Know all the classifications for a triangle in regard to its angles (acute, right, obtuse, and equiangular) and its sides (scalene, isosceles, equilateral). Know how to label an isosceles triangle, as well as all of its properties. Know how to locate the smallest to largest angle in a triangle given its sides, and vice versa. Chapter 5: Parallel Lines and Related Figures Know whether each angle pair is congruent or supplementary when a transversal intersects parallel lines. Know how to prove and use special angle relationships involving parallel lines. Know how to prove lines to be parallel using special angle pairs. Know how to determine whether or not a figure is a polygon. Know how to determine whether or not a polygon is convex or concave. Know how to name any figure by its vertices. Know and be able to apply all the properties of each of the following quadrilaterals: o Parallelogram o Rectangle o Rhombus o Square o Kite o Trapezoid (Isosceles) Know how to label an isosceles trapezoid. Know how to use the properties of a parallelogram in a proof. Know how to prove that a quadrilateral is a parallelogram in a proof. Know how to use descriptions, diagrams, and/or the coordinate plane to determine the most descriptive name for a quadrilateral.
