prompted readers to really consider their personal resilience and determination, and to evaluate if they were prepared for the trials and tribulations that come with success, or if they really just wanted their success handed to them on a silver platter. 4. This editorial about the mentality needed and exertion of effort necessary to gain prosperity and a sense of accomplishment was eye-opening. The issue it raises is actually very important as many people, such as myself, do not realize we spend a majority of our time wanting to achieve our ambitions, but very little time devising plans and courses of action to be rewarded with what we want. I want to go to college one day, but I understand it will take much more than a simple desire to be admitted. I think by human nature we forget that life is not handed to us by any means, and unless wealth is passed down from one generation to the next, everyone who is successful worked hard for what they have. I feel like social media has a heavy role in glorifying success in the form of material items and overall wealth, and I believe it could be easy to become immersed in wanting everything superstars, rappers, and multi-millionaires have without realizing what kind of grit and tenacity it takes to actually own that Lamborghini or million-dollar mansion in the hills of Hollywood.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
