Kennedy was the scholar that relied heavily on evidence about the substance of the political debate. The evidence he provided to prove his case was the issue of gay marriage and abortion. Plied was the scholar who relied heavily on evidence of the political process. He believed that the VRA was in charge of the change of politics in the south. He believed this issue changed the American political way. Plied then created the political party to use as evidence towards the change which helped him back up his argument. The topic of this essay was about twenty-four burke high school students and teachers who marched for the civil rights act. 2. Thesis Statement- "By examining the effort to desegregate public facilities through the lens of the first sit-in in Charleston, this article will illustrate how a small, committed group of local high school students and teachers played an integral, though overlooked, role in the civil rights movement". 3. I believe the sources that the author would need to support his thesis would be a news source talking about the incident of the march in Burke high school. Another source he could use is a primary source such as the picture that was published in the Charleston news and courier the day after the set-in according to the article.
