Research Instrument
Two major research instruments are use in this study. The independent
professional identity which focuses on knowledge of the profession,
philosophy of the profession, professional roles & expertise, attitude,
engagement behaviors and interaction (Hong Ryun Woo, 2013). The following
five orderable gradations with their respective range of means and
descriptions are considered:

The dependent variable questionnaire was adapted from Cevat Celep which is
organizational commitment focuses on commitment to school, commitment to
teaching work, commitment to teaching occupation and commitment to work group.
The Likert Scale is use as basis in describing the level of the organizational
commitment.
Likert Scale requires individuals to tick on the box/blank in response to a large
number of items concerning an attitude, object, and stimulus. The five orderable
gradations of organizational commitment with their respective means are as follows:

Data Collection
After the approval of the panel members the researcher under goes the following
steps and procedures in gathering data for the study.
The researcher ask permission from the office of the Superintendent of the Island
Garden City of Samal to conduct the study among the different public high school of
Babak District Island Garden City of Samal Davao Del Norte. Upon the approval, the
letter of endorsement is seeking to accommodate the researcher to administer the
survey questionnaire to the respondents of the study. Moreover, the researcher make
another letter to conduct the study to teachers in their respective schools in Babak
District Island Garden City of Samal. The researcher asks for approval from the six
School Heads to distribute survey questionnaires to their respective teachers. The
researcher personally hand in the questionnaires and explain the research tool and
its purpose. Furthermore, the researcher retrieves the survey questionnaires after the
respondents had answers all items. Finally, the researcher tally and tabulated all the
