To receive any credit, all homework assignments must be submitted by the start of the last class period. Chapter Opening Vignettes and Application Cases: Each student is required to hand in five “Case Responses”, that is, answers to the questions posed in five different Chapter Opening Vignettes or Application Cases. Each student will choose their own preferred Chapter Opening Vignettes and/or Application Cases. To qualify for points added to the student’s final grade, every Chapter Opening Vignette and/or Application Case question set that is handed in with answers must contain at least three questions posed by the textbook authors . Also, to qualify for points added to the student’s final grade, each one of the five “Case Responses” that are handed in must be original work (i.e., not copied from any other source) and each one of those five responses must total enough text to reach the second page of the submitted document. The text response must be single-spaced with paper margins set no larger than 1 inch and Times New Roman font set no larger than 12 point. If you find you cannot write a full page of responses to the case questions, you may wish to choose another case that you find more interesting and thought-provoking. Each one of the five “Case Responses” is worth 20 points toward the student’s final grade, for a total of 100 points toward the final grade. “Case Responses” must be submitted through the “TurnItIn” utility in ilearn. Late submission of a “Case Response” will be awarded 50% of the scored points. To receive any credit, all Case Responses must be submitted by the start of the last class period. Exams : Each of the two exams are worth 100 points toward the final grade and will consist of multiple choice and/or true/false questions. All exams WILL start on time; DO NOT BE LATE . Exam make-ups must be arranged prior to each exam date. You must take every exam with the section in which you are enrolled unless you have explicit permission from the instructor. If you take an exam in a section in which you are not enrolled without explicit prior permission from the instructor, your exam grade will be reduced by 20%. You must begin every exam within 10 minutes of the start of the exam or you will not be allowed to take the exam. You must enter the exam room before any other student completes the exam and leaves the exam room or you will NOT be allowed to take the exam . Also note: any cellphones seen by the instructor in the exam room at any time after the start of any exam will result in the instructor confiscating that student’s exam and that student will receive a score of 0 for that exam .
