Use the AMPL model, data, and session information to answer the following qeustions. 1. In figure 1 the shadow prices ( resource.dual ) represent the valuations placed on each of the three operations. Use the shadow prices to compute the internal cost of making toy trains. You should be able to align this internal cost with the reduced cost x.rc that is reported and also with the sensitivity information ( x.down and x.up ) that is reported on the coefficients in the objective function. 2. Suppose the per unit time of operation 2 is reduced from 3 to 1.25 minutes. By how much must the company now raise the price charged for toy trains so that they are just profitable? Instead of raising the price, the company could reduce the time required for toy trains on one of the other operations. Which operation, 1 or 3, and by how much must time be reduced so that toy trains are just profitable? 3. Now the company is considering whether to make a new product: toy fire trucks. The time required on each operation and the contribution to profit for fire trucks are shown in the updated data section below. data; set Toy := train truck car fire; set Operation := 1 2 3; param revenue := train 3 truck 2 car 5 fire 4; param usage : train truck car fire := 1 1 2 1 0

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
