The research presentation will consist of a 15-20 minute PowerPoint presentation (with handouts) on a topic related to the course. Supporting recent (since 2000) research is to be provided. A list of 3 proposed topics is due on September 17. Dates of individual presentations will be determined the first class. B. The clinical case presentation consists of a written outline and a 15-20 minute oral presentation of an individual with a diagnosis of addiction. Students should include the following information: presenting problem, substance abuse and treatment history, psychosocial history, mental status, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Dates of individual presentations will be determined the first class. 5. A final exam of 30 multiple choice items will be given on November 5. Grading Criteria Participation 20% AA and Al-anon Reports 20% Website Presentation 15%
