Free black population started to increase however there were some marron societies made up of escaped slaves - Received many discrimination and didn’t receive proper education. Survival rate of slaves were low but start to increase. Free whites and Black made up three different classes: Big whites, small whites, and blacks. Cultural: (Belief Systems, Intellectual, Artistic) Expansion motives and allies were also because of spread of religion (Christianity and Islam) Africa, European, Amerindian, Christianity and Catholic cultures mixed. Puritans were those who wanted to purify their religion. - Settled in New England along with pilgrims Slaves resisted the English culture and Christianity for their African culture Near Geography/Demographic: Introduction to new diseases between the Old and New World made an impact on the Americas who had no antibiotics for it. (Columbian Exchange) - Took a toll on the Americas wiping out almost entire population. - New source of diseases also came from the African slaves that were imported - Small pox, influenza, typhus, animal domestication Atlantic winds became a problem for trade between some civilizations. Tobacco industries, hurricanes, epidemics, and attacks slowed economy Agriculture technology resulted to soil exclaustration and deforestation.
