Gantt charts are commonly used to display the calendar period task assignments in days, weeks or months. This tool shows the start time, lapse time and completion time of every task listed for the project. Gantt is also ideal for tracking
progression as well as keeping the project manager aware of any potential errors or disruption of the project that could potentially cause the project to be forced off course. These two charts the PERT and the Gantt are used as valuable budgeting tool as well as they display the dollars amounts allocated as opposed to the dollars spent.How do you handle over allocated resources? Simplyby setting up a realistic my project schedule. By that statement, I mean that as the project manager I must avoid pushing my team excessively hard to complete project plan, due to unforeseen issues or timelines. Every aspect of the schedule must be completed correctly and in its entirety.
