Another advantage of this Facebook group, is that it has allowed me to build
relationships and connections with other students with similar goals across the world.
According to Walden faculty, it is extremely important to look to your peers for support
and even create study groups in order to be successful in the program (Laureate
Education, Inc., 2018).
As I continue this journey at Walden, my goal is to utilize the many resources I
have, including my fellow peers and Facebook group, to create a positive academic
environment and overall success in the MSN program. Throughout the program, I know
I will always have the other Walden students as a main academic resource to lean on
for support and advice, which will ultimately contribute to my success.

To be successful in the MSN program, my goal is to utilize different academic
strategies including, effective time management, remaining organized, planning ahead,
and using appropriate communication. I believe that by utilizing these various academic
strategies, I will be able to effectively balance my school work, professional, and social
life.
Throughout the MSN program, I will encompass effective time management skills
by continuing to plan out my weeks accordingly and making sure I have the right about
time to get my school work done. According to one of Walden’s academic videos, it is
extremely important to set aside time to successfully do the discussions and
assignments, so there is less stress and overall success in program (Laureate
Education, Inc., 2018). In addition to effective time management, I will also use
appropriate communication throughout the MSN online program. In a Walden video,
they say “your written communication is your main way to connect with and interact with
other students at Walden”, which is why it is very important to remain professional and
scholarly in my writing (Laureate Education, Inc., 2018). I will continue to be positive in
my postings, and I will read them aloud before submitting them to make sure they are
grammarly correct.
To be successful academically, I will continue to have effective time management
skills, remain organized, plan ahead, and use appropriate online communication. With
the utilization of these academic strategies, I believe I will be successful in this MSN
program which will ultimately lead to my professional success as a practicing nurse.
